Since first exploding on the local music scene outside of Minneapolis, MN in 1997, 69 Cents' signature high-energy and crowd-interactive live rock shows quickly became a top-draw "Party Band" tradition at countless clubs, festivals and street dances throughout the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota, Wisconsin & Iowa.
Recently voted "Favorite Local Band" in the Mankato, MN Free Press Readers Choice awards, 69 Cents continues to be a top-draw local dance-floor-filling favorite, playing hundreds of classic to current party and dance-rock tunes, and have also been billed in regional shows with Styx, REO Speedwagon, CCR, Starship, Kansas, Britney Fox, & The Bullet Boys.

When we asked you all to vote for favorite local band on the Free Press Readers Choice awards, we had no idea you'd actually vote for the Niners! :o)
We're honored and humbled. Thank you!
We're just out trying to have some fun with you all, and this kind of recognition every so often is what keeps this little "Rock Band" thing so fun after 10 years.
If the Niners keepin you rockin on the dance floor is why you voted, then you all are voting for yourselves for telling us what you like to hear! - So this is really a "best partiers in Mankato award" for all of our niner crowd!

69 Cents is honored to be spotlighted in the "Working Band" feature of the May/June issue of the nationally-distributed Guitar Edge Magazine.

The article lays out the history of 69 Cents, and the rags-to-rags story of how we've managed to keep rockin' it out non-stop for almost 10 years now.
